Joseph Sieber completed his studies in piano (Konstantin Lifschitz) and composition (Dieter Ammann) in Switzerland, played his way through various genres as a concert soloist and chamber musician and won several first prizes at the Swiss Youth Music Competition. He recently completed his studies in conducting (Mark Heron & Clark Rundell) at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester with high distinction….

As founder and conductor of the Central Switzerland Youth Symphony Orchestra at the age of 21, around 100 of the most talented young musicians from all parts of Switzerland are already playing and inspiring audiences at home and abroad Gifted with rousing musicality and natural leadership qualities, he has led the orchestra to win several prizes, play at major festivals (e.g. Lucerne Festival) and with internationally renowned soloists (e.g. Jess Gillam).
As initiator and artistic director of the extraordinary music theatre project “Verona 3000”, Joseph Sieber has already influenced the musical landscape of Central Switzerland at an early age. His multi-award-winning projects enjoy national and European-wide recognition, have been featured in dozens of regional and national media and have already brought together hundreds of young musicians and cultural workers from all parts of Switzerland. His unconventional approaches, his openness and curiosity towards a wide variety of musical styles and art forms have delighted a particularly mixed audience.
