In the quarterly newsletter, Joseph informs about past and upcoming highlights, provides insight into results and anectotes from the daily business within the orchestra world.
Already in his early twenties, Joseph Sieber, as founder and Artistic Director of Switzerland’s most visible Youth Orchestra (Zentralschweizer Jugendsinfonieorchester ZJSO) as well as of the internationally acclaimed music theater project “Verona 3000”, has brought together hundreds of young musicians and cultural figures from all over Switzerland, playing for thousands of audiences at home and abroad every year. His initial studies in piano, composition and music theory were followed by conducting studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester (UK), from which he graduated with high distinction, conducting the BBC Philharmonic in concert. In addition to his doctorate and assistant conductor position at Arizona State University, he will be Conducting Fellow at the Lucerne Festival and the Cabrillo Festival in the summer of 2023.
Starting to work in project management and fundraising at the age of 13, leading a group of 100 people in a musical theater production for the first time at the age of 15, and founding one of the now most successful youth ensembles in Switzerland at the age of 21, Joseph Sieber already gained a lot of management and leadership experience in various fields. Additionally, he has over 10 years of professional teaching experience through private lessons as well as at one of the largest high schools in Switzerland.
Whatever your artistic goals and personal aspirations are, Joseph will be able to offer you valuable support and advice in one way or another – based on his wide range of experience and skills, and motivated by his great desire to help and support others.
