1. Who is responsible

This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by hosttech GmbH in Switzerland. When you visit the site, the server automatically records technical data that your browser sends: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and to keep it secure, for example to detect attacks. The data is not combined with other sources and is deleted after a short period. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Cookies and your consent

This website only uses analytics cookies if you click “Accept” in the cookie notice. Your choice is saved in your browser for twelve months. You can change it at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page. Without your consent, no data is sent to Google.

4. Google Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this website, for example which pages are read and how visitors find the site. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes information about your visit, including a shortened IP address, device and browser information and the pages you view. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Data is kept for a maximum of 14 months. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings”. More information: policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Visitor statistics on our own server

To count visits, we use the WordPress plugin WP Statistics, which runs on our own server. IP addresses are shortened and stored only in encrypted (hashed) form, so no individual visitor can be identified. No cookies are set and no data is passed on to third parties. Legal basis: legitimate interest in knowing how the website is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we use your e-mail address only to send you news about concerts and projects. After signing up, you receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your subscription (double opt-in); only then are you added to the list. We store the time of sign-up and confirmation and your IP address to be able to prove your consent. The newsletter is sent with Mailchimp, a service of The Rocket Science Group LLC (Intuit Inc.), Atlanta, USA. Mailchimp is certified under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Mailchimp records whether newsletters are opened and which links are clicked, to help us improve the content. A copy of each sign-up is also sent by e-mail to the management, so that we know about new subscribers. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every newsletter. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

7. Contact by e-mail or phone

If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we use your details only to answer your request and to handle any booking that follows. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We delete the data when it is no longer needed, unless legal retention periods apply.

8. Fonts

The fonts on this website are stored on our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or other font services is made.

9. Videos (YouTube)

The videos page and the Simple Symphony page show preview images stored on this server. A video is only loaded from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) after you click on it. From that moment, YouTube receives data such as your IP address and information about your browser. We use the privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). 10. “Add to calendar” and links to other websites

The “add to calendar” buttons in the calendar open Google Calendar with the date of the concert. This website also links to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, medici.tv, concert organisers and other websites. These are plain links: no data is sent to these services until you click them. After that, the privacy policy of the respective website applies.

11. Your rights

You have the right to know which personal data we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. Under the GDPR you also have the right to restrict processing, to object to it, to data portability and to withdraw your consent at any time. Please write to dsham@dshamsession.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in France the CNIL.

12. Changes

We may update this privacy policy when the website or the law changes. The current version is always available on this page.
